About this blog:

This is my personal blog.  It’s nominally focused on issues at the intersection of law, policy, and technology, but I suspect I will deviate from those topics more than occasionally.  With that said, here are the most important facts about this blog: 1.) this blog is not legal advice; 2.) all views expressed are my own and not those of my employer(s) past, present or future.  Some posts may be cross posted (with permission) from other blogs.

About me:

I’m an attorney with a focus on emerging technologies, particularly in the data analytics space. I currently work on the legal and privacy and civil liberties teams at Palantir Technologies. I was previously a teaching fellow at the Berkeley Samuelson Law, Technology, and Public Policy Clinic, a policy advisor at the California Department of Justice, and a litigator at O’Melveny & Myers. I’m also a Non-Resident Fellow at Georgetown’s Center on National Security and the Law, where I previously served as a visiting scholar. You can find my full CV, including more specific examples of my work at www.babaksiavoshy.org.
